A zero
emission Story
Our story begins with an idea that was clearly ahead of its time and the following path of development and production of the world’s first zero-emission citycar born completely and exclusively electric with lithium battery technology. Tazzari EV, a pioneering project and expression of Made in Italy’s technology, design and passion, was born in Imola in the heart of the Motor Valley at the Tazzari Group factories, founded in 1963 by Giorgio Tazzari, which today boasts half a century of experience in aluminium casting technology and the supply of ultra-lightweight components to the automotive and motorcycling industries.
2006
Thanks to Erik Tazzari’s idea – President of the Tazzari Group since 2005 – the ZERO Project came to life: The goal is to create an electric city car with never-before-seen technical features, including the in-house development of the most advanced LFP lithium battery technology for extraordinary performance and range, combined with an ultra-light modular chassis technique using aluminium castings assembled with aerospace structural glues.
2010
The first Tazzari electric car model was previewed at the Bologna Motor Show in December 2009 and entered the market in January 2010. The first ZERO is a technically revolutionary product with performance never before seen in the electric city car sector. In the years that followed, Tazzari EV continued to develop product evolutions and expand the range with new and more advanced models.
2023
Today, after more than 15 years, Tazzari’s range of electric vehicles benefits from the experience of tens of millions of kilometres travelled on roads all over the world. Tazzari EV Technology develops innovative, highly efficient, zero-emission electric vehicles for other brands and in different sectors, with the aim of spreading its technology globally.
